BITSA Presents: INFS1603 and INFS1609 Fundamentals Workshop

BITSA’s education team kick-started their series of flagship INFS1603 and INFS1609 fundamentals workshops.

Open to ALL UNSW students, these workshops aim to provide academic support and summarised material for INFS1603 and INFS1609 to students to better equip individuals for their assessments.

Hosted on Zoom, tutors ran a crash course on both subjects, with the aid of a Powerpoint presentation that was streamed during the session.

In addition, interactive elements such as Kahoots and insightful Q&A sessions with each tutour, provided an engaging learning environment for students.

Over 60+ students attended the 1603 workshop with Corey Won, covering

  • Relational schema diagrams

  • SQL queries

  • 24-hour Final report preparation

  • Strategic time allocation

  • Final submission tips

Over 80+ students attended the 1609 workshop with Nicholas Liang, covering

  • Java’s programming object oriented basics

  • If-else statements

  • Loops

  • Arrays

  • Final exam preparation

  • Time and mark allocation

  • Common past-questions
