On July 7, BITSA commenced our annual 2022 Industry Mentoring Program, with the Mentee Workshop hosted and organised by External Directors, Sharon Xiong, Jay Shah, Tejas Chaudhry and Ramon Zhang. Within this workshop, mentees were provided with a presentation and Q&A session that provided an encompassing overview of the program, how to connect with their industry mentors, networking etiquette and possible discussion topics.
Following the Mentee Workshop, BITSA held our annual Industry Mentoring Program Opening Night in-person last Thursday, which started with a talk from Macquarie's David Sanderson followed by a program overview from BITSA’s Vice President External Eliza Fan, and an introduction to BITSA from our Co-Presidents Carlo Zhang and Maria Xu. Following introductions, past mentees and mentors, David Hwang, and Erik Luo, were invited to speak about their experiences and share their advice in relation to the program. Attendees were then provided an opportunity to mingle and network with their mentee/mentor as well as other attendees through various fun and engaging networking activities.
BITSA would like to thank all the students and companies that are participating in the program: Amstelveen, Atlassian, Commonwealth Bank, Deloitte, Deputy, EY, Go1, Google, IAG, Intercom, Macquarie Group, Mastercard, Microsoft, PayPal Australia, PwC Australia, Salesforce, Westpac Group, WiseTech Global.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Macquarie Group and Cael Courtney, for being exceptional hosts and assisting the event in running perfectly. With the success of our Opening Night, we are looking forward to hearing about the invaluable connections made from this program and the insights gained by our mentees and industry mentors!
