On Wednesday 20th April, BITSA and Amstelveen collaborated to hold the "BITSA x Amstelveen Presents: Mock Assessment Centre" event. The event involved a three-hour mock assessment centre which was reflective of the problems given in internships and graduate job interviews. Students participated in a group case and individual in-tray task, before receiving personalised feedback from the Amstelveen assessors.
Nearing the conclusion of our event, attendees were also given the opportunity to network with panellists, ask further questions regarding career experiences, and receive advice on nailing interviews. The mock assessment centre allowed students to experience an assessment centre, hone their casing, and sharpen their group work skills to better prepare themselves for future job opportunities.
BITSA would like to give special thanks to the Amstelveen representatives: David van Gogh, Andrew Millward, Jack Armsworth, Wendy V., Romana Bizjak, Nathaniel Manlolo, Jayashri Sood, Wendy Liu, Amara Tut, and Branden L. for giving up their valuable time to truly engage the students and provide knowledge about their personal experiences in the technology risk field.
Finally, BITSA would like to thank all the attendees for engaging in this event, we hope you’ve gained some valuable insights and looking forward to your attendance at future BITSA events!
