On Monday 22nd March, BITSA in collaboration with Atlassian held the Product Management 101 event on Zoom to showcase product management at Atlassian to the student body. With over 120 attendees, students were able to engage with Atlassian through listening to a presentation prepared by Atlassian’s associate PM on product management and details about their student programs, and also by participating in a Q&A panel with the associates.
The event first began by Christina Ristevski giving an introduction to a career in product management and available opportunities including intern and graduate programs at Atlassian, before continuing onto a Q&A panel featuring grads and interns; Renee Zhang, Gabriel Raubenheimer, Andrew Vo and Isabelle (Izzy) Kohout where students were able to ask any questions on Atlassian’s culture, entry paths into product management and also their own personal experiences.
A huge thank you to Atlassian’s coordinator Rachel Ding and the Atlassian representatives for making this event possible, and all the attendees for their interest in product management at Atlassian and BITSA. We hope the event gave students some valuable insight into product management as a career and Atlassian’s student programs. Looking forward to collaborating with Atlassian again in future events.
